DeBergerac Productions, Inc. welcomes Amanda Whalen to an Intern position. Amanda is a junior Communications/Journalism student at St. John Fisher College. “Video production was not always what I planned to do,” said Amanda, “but after my first production class I was hooked and decided to change paths. I am especially interested in post-production but I still enjoy going out and creating my own videos.” This is her first internship and she thought DeBergerac would be a great place to start because of the small, but growing, business environment.
Debergerac’s Restoration lab also offered Amanda a unique opportunity: working with film. “I had no idea how beautiful film was. It looks like jewels-the colors are so vibrant!” Amanda remarked as she looked at some Kodachrome slides from the late 1930’s. “I knew if I could get an internship here, I would be getting experience no one else in my class would have”.
Amanda’s internship runs through the end of March.
When she’s not inspecting lost film treasures at DeBergerac, Amanda also helps fellow students at the college Mac lab with their projects as well as any tasks her video production professor needs accomplished.
